What is Workplace Giving?
Workplace Giving allows employees to donate to Community Living & Respite Services Inc. through your employer's payroll system.
Benefits for employees
With Workplace Giving, you can receive an immediate benefit or claim this when you do your tax return. There is no need to keep records or produce receipts at tax time, as your end of financial year Payment Summary will list your donation.
Benefits for employers
Participating in Workplace Giving is a great way for companies to demonstrate their corporate responsibility by promoting the support of local charities. This sends positive signals to customers, employees, investors, and shareholders alike. Employers can further support their employees’ efforts by matching their donations, acknowledging the personal commitment of their staff.
You will make a difference
The "Disability Services" provided by Community Living & Respite Services Inc. include the development of new supported accommodation projects, respite and social activities for people with disabilities. Supported Accommodation provides peace of mind for ageing parents, who have the reassurance of permanent care for their loved one. Regular respite is vital to families as it provides an opportunity to re-energise and focus attention on other members of their families. It also gives children with a disability an outlet to participate in a range of fun and social activities.
How to set up Workplace Giving
Ask your employer to include CLRS in their Workplace Giving program. Print the CLRS Workplace giving form and complete and give to your payroll manager. Your donation (you determine the amount) will be deducted from your salary each pay period. You have the option of receiving our regular newsletter detailing the comminuity programs you are supporting.
