In some other news we bid our Service Development Manager Dean Seeary farewell. Although Dean has only been with us a short time he has made a significant contribution to CLRS. We are pleased that he will remain involved with the organisation and will assist us with consultancy work in the future.  In light of this news we are happy to announce that Leah McNulty will be returning to CLRS to take up the role of Service Development Manager. Welcome back Leah!

You have probably seen that our annual Johnno’s Run team for Run Melbourne on 24th of July is forming. If you would like to be part of the team and raise funds for our Opening Doors Project give the office a call on (03) 5480 2388.

As we move into the festive season I am pleased to provide you with a copy of our latest Community News – the last for 2015!

We have had a fantastic year with our clients achieving many goals, our staff and volunteers being recognised at the Campaspe Murray Business Awards and the launch our new program Recyclability, to name a few of the highlights.

In December we say goodbye and a very warm thank you to Meaghan Broom. Meaghan has been with CLRS for 16 years, a period of time where CLRS has been very successful. We thank Meaghan for her significant contribution and wish her all the best for the future.

Preparations are well underway for our 10th Annual Fundraising Dinner. We are always humbled by the support of the community for CLRS! We look forward to celebrating with many of you on Tuesday February 23 at  the Moama Bowling Club. 

We would like to take the opportunity to wish all our clients, families, volunteers, staff, supporters and partners a wonderful Christmas and health and happiness in 2016.

It's hard to believe it's August already!  I hope you enjoy reading our August/September Community News!

We've just been notified that CLRS is a finalist in the 2015 GMCU Allianz Campaspe Murray Business Awards which is wonderful recognition for the staff and volunteers of our organisation.

We have a busy two months ahead of us! Two important events are the official launch of our Recyclability Program on August 13 and our AGM which will be held on September 17 - more details in the newsletter.

Community Living & Respite Services Inc. continues to be a vibrant organisation, making a positive difference in our community.   It is always wonderful to see our clients enjoying themselves and pursuing their dreams.

June is a busy month as the end of the financial year approaches, and July promises to be exciting with our “Recyclability” program being implemented and many of our supporters, along with several CLRS staff, preparing for Johnno’s Run!

Welcome to our August 2014 newsletter!

The new financial year has had an amazing start - with a most successful community and fundraising event, Johnno's Run!  Thank you to everyone who supported Brady Johnson, Team Johnno and the Minor Street Project.

June 2014 Newsletter

As June 30 approaches you may be considering making a tax deductible donation to a charity.  CLRS is registered with the ATO and donations of $2 or more are tax deductible.  Your donation will make a difference, and will directly support our Minor Street project, and the provision of services to people with disability in our community.

In May we were pleased to be the recipient of a community  grant from Fonterra Echuca, for our Club Teen program.  Cletus, Rosemary and Sue were very impressed with the welcome and hospitality of the Fonterra management and staff, and enjoyed a factory tour.  Here is a photo of the 3 ladies, dressed to impress!

Thank you to all who could join us in celebrating World Down Syndrome and Harmony Day in March 2014.  We are looking forward to more events and the completion of the Minor Street project in April and May.

We are also very proud to share that our Patron Mr Noel Maughan received an Order of the Medal of Australia on January 26.  This was awarded in recognition of Noel's contribution to the Victorian Parliament and Rural Health.  Noel and his wife Dorothy are wonderful supporters of CLRS, and we are delighted that Noel has received this very worthy honour.

Congratulations to our staff member Tyler Lethlean for his Australia Day Award - Campaspe Shire Young Citizen.  Tyler works at our Club Teen program and has been very involved in the Rockets and Campaspe One & All Inclusion Project.  Well done Tyler!
