Community News August 2019

Our August newsletter has landed, and as you can probably guess there's plenty of Johnno's Run news. We are so proud of our community that has really got behind Johnno's Run. It is such an inclusive event, raises important awareness and continues to raise significant funds to help build homes for people with disability. Thanks again for the widespread support of Johnno's Run 2019.

We are currently preparing our Annual Report, and hope that you will be able to join us for our Annual General Meeting which will be held on Thursday 10 October 2019 at 7.30pm at the Echuca Workers. This is a very significant year for us, as it is our 40 year celebration.

October Newsletter 2017

Welcome to our October newsletter. We have an exciting month ahead.  Our AGM is planned for Thursday October 19, 2017 followed by the  Official Opening of the Opening Doors Project the next day. 

During October we are also preparing for Community Partnership & Philanthropy Week, and will be undertaking filming at the Murray River Tea Rooms during October, which will showcase the outstanding support of the local community.

Award Recipients

Suzanna Barry - Sunday, October 23, 2016

We are delighted to announce that at this week's Annual General Meeting a past Board member, Jan Rankin, received a Life Membership in recognition of her outstanding contribution to Community Living & Respite Services Inc. over the past 30 years.  Jan has contributed in many ways, including having an active role in raising funds for a number of housing projects over the past 11 years.  

Brett Sands was awarded the inaugural Cletus Gilmour Fundraising Award, recognising Brett's outstanding contribution to Community Living & Respite Services Inc. and in particular his commitment to raising funds to increase services for people with disability.  Cletus' family, Peter, Fleur and Bree were delighted that Brett was chosen as the first recipient of this award.  

Both Jan and Brett are Opening Doors Project Ambassadors.

It's hard to believe it's August already!  I hope you enjoy reading our August/September Community News!

We've just been notified that CLRS is a finalist in the 2015 GMCU Allianz Campaspe Murray Business Awards which is wonderful recognition for the staff and volunteers of our organisation.

We have a busy two months ahead of us! Two important events are the official launch of our Recyclability Program on August 13 and our AGM which will be held on September 17 - more details in the newsletter.
