Happy New Year  

Community Living & Respite Services Inc. had a busy and productive 2011 and is looking forward to the year ahead.

Clearing has commenced on our block in Minor Street and planning is underway to source funds for a building development.  Thank you to our staff who are participating in the WorkPlace Giving Program by donating a small amount each pay.  This is making a difference and will help us to achieve our aims. You can help us with this program by donating via the "Make a Donation" icon. 

The school holidays are now in full swing.  Club Teen has a few vacancies on the 27th and 31st of January.  Riing the office for further details.

Our fundraising dinner is also now only a month away.  The event is sold out, however donations and sponorship are always welcomed and appreciated.  We are aiming to raise between $40,000 - $50,000 this year.  Thank you to all our supporters!

Community Living and Respite Services Inc. is a non-government, not-for-profit organisation providing services to more than 300 people annually and employing 150 staff.

Services include homecare, personal care, respite, independent living assistance, support groups and group activities. Trained staff can provide assistance with personal care, household assistance and skill development. Respite may be provided in service users' homes or in one of the CLRS respite facilities. Regular outings and activities are planned to meet a wide variety of needs, and assistance is available to develop skills increasing independence at home and in the community.

Staff are experienced in a variety of areas including disability work, nursing, teaching and aged care. CLRS takes pride in matching staff to the needs of service users, so that skills and personality are complementary.  CLRS is a "Child-Safe" organisation, and all staff working are carefully recruited. 
Pre-employment processes are in place to protect our service users.
