Board


 

The CLRS Board consists of nine people who have a "Governance Role". The Chairperson supports the CEO and all day to day operations are delegated to the CEO and through the CEO to the staff. The Board is a volunteer group who contribute their time, expertise and talents in various ways. Individual members are also represented on a number of CLRS Committees.

  • Brendan Hogan Bachelor Bus(Accounting), Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants

    President

    Brendan was appointed to the Board in 2012 and to the President role in September 2015. Brendan holds a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia. He has been a Director of a local Accounting firm for over 11 years and worked in Public Practice Accounting for over 23 years. Brendan joined the Finance & Audit sub-committee in 2012, and has previously undertaken the Treasurer role. Brendan's financial experience has added real value and brought another degree of expertise to the Board. Brendan is actively involved with the Echuca Football Netball Club and enjoys spending time with his family, sport, gardening and relaxing.

  • Leanne Willis

    Secretary

    Leanne Willis was appointed to the Board in 2013. Leanne has lived with a progressive, degenerative disability for a number of years and lives a full and active life. She works part-time and enjoys having a strong community connection through a number of groups she is involved with. Leanne has challenged herself with her artistic pursuits in recent years but most of all, as a Mum and Grandmother, she loves family time above all else. Leanne is a member of the Fundraising Committee and the Finance and Audit Sub-Committee.

  • Cliff Downey Grad Dip Special Ed, Dip Teaching, Churchill Fellow

    Cliff Downey was appointed to the Board in 2013. Cliff has an extensive background in education, having held many senior roles. Cliff is a Member of the Victorian Principals Association, Member of Principals Australia Institute and is the President of Echuca Moama Rotary. Cliff is the father of Lewis who is a client of CLRS. Cliff has a consultancy in Leadership and Organisational Development and with his wife Maree operates a Beef Stud on their farm property.

  • Wayne Jenkin

    Wayne Jenkin was appointed to the Board in 2016. Wayne was recently appointed to the position of Branch Manager of Echuca Bendigo Bank. Prior to this Wayne was the manager of the Echuca branch of Bank Australia. Wayne is the President of the Murray Business Network and the Shire of Campaspe Audit Committee. Wayne has been a long term supporter of the CLRS' work in the community.

  • Andrew Cowin

    Andrew Cowin joined the Board in 2016. Andrew worked closely with CLRS while undertaking a temporary position as the Executive Officer at Primary Care Partnerships in 2015 and gained an understanding of the impact that CLRS has in the community. In February 2016 Andrew accepted a role as an Opening Doors project. Andrew is employed at the Shire of Campaspe as the Corporate Strategy Manager.

  • Erin Langman

    Erin Langman was appointed to the Board in 2016. Erin has a long standing involvement with CLRS through her role of General Manager of the Echuca Workers & Services Club, who are long term supporters of CLRS.  Erin has 22 years experience in the hospitality industry and has a strong focus on customer service.  Erin is also an Opening Doors Ambassador.  In her spare time Erin has a variety of interests, including being an aviation enthusiast. Erin also serves on the Echuca Aero Club committee.

  • Anthony Farrant

    Anthony Farrant joined the Board in 2016. Anthony works as an Insurance Broker in Echuca and has previous experience in advertising and retail. Anthony's interests include health and fitness, and it was through the Johnno's Run fundraising initiative in 2014 that Anthony first became closely involved with CLRS. Anthony has a strong community involvement, and in 2017 helped to establish Park Run in Echuca/Moama. Anthony has shown a strong commitment to improving and expanding local services for people with disability.
